Our churches tend to be medium to small in sixe except for the places near large metropolitan areas. It does not get more conservative than this region I don't think, worship wise. In terms of what is being written about worship pertaining to any group be it youth , adults, children whatever, there is not a lot of substantive chatter on the net or else I am not looking or searching correctly. I don't think the topic has captured the attention of the masses and I think most associate it with rock music soley. Thanks for reporting on the congress you attended. I will do more research on the content of that. "Judgmental Jesus," "Cool Jesus," "Touchy-Feely Jesus," "Traditional Jesus," "Liberal Jesus," "Intellectual Jesus," etc...

I look at the Gospels and see that there are 4 rich portraits of the multi-faceted personality of Christ. It's a good reminder that "The Real Jesus" defies all of our attempts to put Him into a single image. That He is bigger than anything we can imagine. If only Christians would pick up on that, we might stop bickering among ourselves so much!Jeff Kahlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13016581430364691310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30656316.post-89236581911445555722008-09-19T17:55:00.000-04:002008-09-19T17:55:00.000-04:00I'm a bit late in responding -- haven't been looki...I'm a bit late in responding -- haven't been looking around too much lately. Over time, lots of controversy about how Jesus looked in physical appearance -- a "white" Jesus, a "black" Jesus, etc. Someone has noted that by being of Jewish blood, physically speaking, He was about halfway between white and black. All we have to go by is Scripture which doesn't provide photographs -- but only that sometime in the future we shall see Him as He is -- and that's good enough for me!PA Maverickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01543635628491223561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30656316.post-60679947120800843832008-08-19T22:17:00.000-04:002008-08-19T22:17:00.000-04:00Well said!
